Description
Spending the day at one of my favorite places in Delray, Florida, photographing the wildlife. It was the end of our visit and I was just waiting for my husband. We had seen some incredible stuff on this day. As I stood there this one tricolored heron caught my eye out of the 100s of birds I could see at that moment.
This bird was all alone and appeared to be having the most wonderful time with itself. It was running, flying, dancing and dipping back and for across the water. Sometimes it would skim the water so close that it's toes would just barely drag the surface of the water. Then next time by it it almost appeared to be running, skipping and hopping. Occasionally it would dip it's beak ever so gracefully or not so gracefully and touch the water.
It reminded me of a dance on Swan Lake.
